Ami Miller owns Emerge Counseling Services, LLC. She is a graduate of Frostburg State University with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. She is a licensed therapist in both Maryland and Pennsylvania (LCPC, LPC) and a board-approved supervisor in Maryland. She also holds a certification in personality disorders and sex therapy. Ami has over 15 years of experience working as a therapist. She is passionate about helping clients meet their goals while providing empowerment, support, and education.

Ami utilizes an eclectic approach, drawing from several evidence-based therapies to help her clients overcome their difficulties and reach their goals. She utilizes the following therapies and techniques: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy.

Ami is dedicated to providing a safe, open-minded, non-judgmental counseling environment for each individual and couple. She has the unique ability to make everyone feel comfortable. She shows empathy and compassion to everyone she meets. Ami is passionate about helping others overcome their struggles so they can live happy, full lives.

When not working, Ami enjoys reading, kayaking, traveling, watching football, concerts, and spending time with her husband and three children.
